The 1911 Large Executive feature Sailor's renowned Naginata-Togi nibs. The Naginata-Togi nibs are longer than normal with the point ground to a shape similar to that of a Japanese Naginata sword.
These nibs allow a greater range of writing angles and give exceptionally smooth ink flow even with light pressure.
Naginata-Togi nibs give a broader stroke when used at a lower angle and a finer stroke with a higher angle allowing expressive calligraphic hand writing.
Sailors Naginta-Togi nibs are made from 21-carat gold which is then plated with 24-carat gold.
The 1911 Large Executive is available in two finishes either a classic smooth version or an elegant ribbed version, both are made from black PMMA resin with gold plate trim and clip.
The 1911 Series was originally produced over 25 years ago to commemorate the year of The Sailor Pen Company's inception.
