Journals | Moleskine Notebooks
Moleskine notebooks have their routes in Paris where they were first sold by Parisian stationers more than a century ago. Sadly the family operated bookbinding business that produced these journals closed it's doors forever in 1986.
Fortunately, a Milanese publisher revived the Moleskine notebook in 1998.
Moleskine is often referred to as "the legendary notebook" due to its use by literary and artistic greats such as; Van Gogh, Picasso, Hemmingway and Chatwin, who used these notebooks to record their thoughts, stories and sketches. In fact, the name Moleskine was adopted after it was used by Catwin to describe his favorite notebook in his book "Songlines" before that these sought after notebooks were sold anonymously.
